Originally Red Colony Diner, opened by Jimmy Vlamis. In 2007, it was reopened by Five Guys, who gutted the interior but thankfully left the exterior intact, before moving out. Frankie’s of Bridgeport planned to reopen it under their name, but never did. In 2020, Blue Colony Diner (Newtown) owner George Marnelaki, whose father bought Red Colony from Vlamis in 1973 and ran it till buying Blue Colony (also from Vlamis) in 1975, reopened the diner under its original name.
