Notes:

This is the place that Providence’s legendary Original New York System (founded 1927) got its secret meat sauce recipe from. Directly from Nick’s founder Nicholas Pappas, that is. Nick himself learned it from a former hot dog boss in Philadelphia around the turn of the century, on the condition that he never do business there. The actual origin before that is lost in history, but likely derives in some way from Southwest chili con carne.
