“At the corner of Thurston and Wait” might sound like a cheeky joke, but that’s actually truth. This venerable and legendary food truck has been here, in one form or another, for over a century now.

Founder Louie Zounakos, from historic Sparta, reportedly started c. 1918 with a simple pushcart before moving into a modified Ford truck which he drove around campus, and by 1947 or -48 a new, customized food truck. Several owners on, it’s now run by Ron Beck, since 1997.
