NE corner w/ Pacific Coast Hwy (CA-1)

Previously an unsuccessful hot dog stand converted from a former passenger depot. Bill Fischler named it after his son (now an actor), selecting a dubious but very successful shamrock theme. Situated in Santa Monica Canyon, the eatery has attracted many celebrities, most notably Arnold Schwarzenegger, who was a longtime regular. The large farmer’s breakfast dish called ‘The Governator’ was purportedly created by Arnie’s mother, who called it ‘Bauer Frillhstiik’. (Apparently a version of Bauernfrühstück.) Arnold also provided an iron chair, to replace one he accidentally broke.
