Notes:

Marcus Shannon patented this design for The Boardwalk at Coney Island at its original location on Colfax Avenue in Denver, intending to open a chain of them, but went under by 1969. It was moved to US-285 in Apsen Park in 1970 and renamed Coney Island Dairy Land, later just Coney Island. Put up for sale in 1999, it was at first saved by local support, but displaced by development in 2006 and moved to Bailey near Pike National Forest. As of May 2016, it was purchased by the Wallace family of restaurateurs, who planned to restore and reopen it here, using Colorado products. If you can’t make it here, perhaps you can see the 1/6 scale model at Tiny Town in Morrison.
