Originally Westbury Grill in Westbury, New York. Paramount took it in on a trade and was storing it. Barry Levinson needed an authentic and fairly new-looking diner for his film ‘Diner,’ and moved this one to Boston Street in the Fells Point section of Baltimore as the ‘Fells Point Diner’ for the film. It was returned to Paramount in Oakland, New Jersey after shooting. In 1984, radio station WBAL bought the diner from Paramount and donated it to the City of Baltimore, which placed it here. It’s had several tenants since then, and is apparently closed right now.
