This was the last of the famous Little Taverns to close, in 2008. That same year, new owner Will Kwon reopened it as a doughnut shop, unaware of its famous history. But within a week, he responded to customer demands and added what are essentially the same small burgers that Little Tavern served (the recipe given to him by a former manager), but with “a better grade of beef” and also uniformly cooked.
